See Us When You Require Same-Day Medical Care

Urgent care at Musgrave Family Medicine is the evaluation and treatment of established patients with acute or minor conditions that need same-day care, but are not life-threatening or emergent.

Urgent care does not require an appointment, and the wait is usually much shorter than a typical emergency room visit.

During an urgent care visit, our staff will focus their attention on treating the problem that brought you to the office. For wellness exams or other non-urgent health care needs, you will need to schedule an appointment.

Urgent care is not for potentially life-threatening conditions. If you have a life-threatening emergency, such as sudden chest pain or stroke symptoms, you need to go to the emergency room or call 911 for immediate care.

Go to the Emergency Room for Severe Medical Problems

Urgent care can help you avoid long waits in the emergency room when your condition is not life-threatening or severe. However, the emergency room is the best place for care when you or a loved one shows significant medical issues.
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Sudden onset chest pain
  • Major trauma or injury
  • Severe burns
  • Severe, uncontrolled bleeding
  • Suspected concussion or head injury
  • Change in mental status
  • High fever, headache, and stiff neck
  • Sudden change in your ability to speak, see or move
If we determine you need emergent care, the team at Musgrave Family Medicine will help to coordinate your health care so that you get the treatment you need.
